Dr Steve Presence is a Senior Lecturer in Film and Television at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on the film and television industries, documentary and activist film culture, and he has led several major UKRI-funded research grants in these fields. He is the co-founder of the Documentary Film Council and the Radical Film Network and works closely with policymakers and advocacy organisations all over the world to support and develop independent film culture.
