Join us on opening night with a short keynote from Helen Godwin, Mayor of the West of England, on what's next for the creative industries in the region. Doors at 18:00, keynote at 18:15 sharp, followed by drinks and networking until 20:00.
We will be joined by the film's stars and director Paul Wright for a Q&A after this extra special screening. Alienated Dylan (George MacKay) throws off the shackles of his solitary life in an attempt to experience the highs and lows of existence at its most extreme. Estranged from his sister Claire (Rosy McEwen), he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that proves both inspiring and terrifying.
Kangding Ray performs a live soundsystem set built from the film's music. Director Óliver Laxe VJs unseen footage shot on set, selecting and mixing images live. Not a screening with a soundtrack, but two artists drawing from the film's world to create a new, unrepeatable live work.

A capybara and his best friend Mister Tangerine, a fearless four-year-old on the steepest hill in town, a birthday ruined by a very annoying creature, and a squirrel who learns that sharing your nest isn't so bad. The Family Gaming Room, hosted by Andy Robertson and the Family Gaming Database, is where the playing happens. Free, drop in, all ages welcome. Unlike other video game stands, this isn't just a bunch of game kiosks for kids to play. It's a hosted, calm, welcoming space where families play together, discover new games, and learn about Parental Controls and Family Settings. Trained hosts will find the right games for you and your children, a bit like arriving at a restaurant and being shown to your table. Experts are on hand for parents and carers who haven't played much before.
