A showcase of bold new short filmmaking from the Philippines, presented with the support of the British Council and celebrating the links between two UNESCO Cities of Film: Bristol and Quezon City.
Featuring Water Sports (dir. Whammy Alcazaren), Honey, My Love, So Sweet (dir. JT Trinidad), Vox Humana and Agapito (both produced by Alemberg Ang). Whammy, JT and Alemberg join us in Bristol all the way from Manila for the screening and a post-show Q&A. Alemberg also serves on this year's Brief Encounters international jury.
The programme sits alongside our LFS @ 70 celebration screening of Filipiñana by Rafael Manuel, a previous Encounters award winner and jury member, whose acclaimed feature receives its UK premiere at LFF in October.
