An hour exploring the power and the premium of the human made. The films that stay with us are the ones with a fingerprint on them. Mark Simon Hewis, Head of the Aardman Academy, argues that this isn't sentimentality, it's where the magic actually comes from.

Human brains aren't perfect. A perfect brain looks at a tiny pair of trousers and says they're tiny trousers. An animation brain says "he needs pockets!" It takes confidence to look at a lump of clay and say that might have a soul, and fifty years of Aardman came out of exactly that. Tiny impossible things, made by people, for other people.
