Join professional animator Maraike Kraemer for a playful, hands-on introduction to the magic of stop motion. Families will sculpt their own clay characters, then discover how tiny movements, captured one frame at a time, can bring them to life on screen.
Designed especially for ages 8–12, this relaxed workshop puts imagination, making and fun first. Children and their parents or guardians work together throughout the session, creating a short animated film they can enjoy and share afterwards.
No previous animation experience is needed and all clay and animation materials are provided. Participants just need to bring a fully charged phone or tablet with the free Stop Motion Studio app installed.
Maraike has worked on Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Chicken Run. She runs Jolly Fox Studio, her own animation studio, where she creates and delivers hands-on animation workshops.
Expect plenty of clay, creativity, movement and magical movie-making!
