Emma is a renowned Animation Director, Artist, Graphic Designer, Writer, Lecturer and co-founder of Pearly Oyster Productions having made many successful and award-winning animated films, including The Queen's Monastery (1998) and Beware of Trains (2023). In September 2024, whilst in progress making her film House of Love, she died from a rare form of cancer in September 2024. House of Love was co-directed by Emma’s daughter Coco Cripps and was completed by her devoted team in November 2025.
