Hao Yu is a Chinese filmmaker and animation director based in Germany. He graduated from Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, studying Animation and Animation Directing. His graduation film Uhrmenschen was selected for La Cinef at the Cannes Film Festival, and his works have been screened at DOK Leipzig, ITFS Stuttgart and numerous international festivals. Combining documentary approaches with animated storytelling, his films explore memory, identity and the fragility of human experience, often focusing on the intersection of personal testimony and psychological reality.
