Hywel Roberts is a Welsh director, animator and storyboard artist with over ten years' experience in the industry, including at Aardman Animations. He has also directed medical explainer films for the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and recently completed an MFA in Directing Animation at the National Film & Television School. His Welsh-language graduate film Bwgan draws on his and his sisters' experience growing up with a mother with Multiple Sclerosis. He hopes to continue making films with humour and heart that explore issues such as MS and the climate crisis.
