Paolo Laganà is an Italian‑German film director and editor whose work explores queer identity, intimacy and memory. After taking their first steps in cinema shooting experimental Super-8 shorts, they moved to Bucharest, where they worked as an assistant director and casting director on several films of the Romanian New Wave, and appeared as a performer in film and television. Paolo lives and works in Berlin, where they study at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). They recently edited the new film by director Alexandra Bălteanu and are currently developing their debut feature.
