The film is based on a true story of a young Russian couple from St. Petersburg, Kirill and Dasha. When the Russian invasion of Ukraine starts, they feel guilt and sorrow for the war they totally do not support. Realizing they no longer have a place in Russia, they decide to move to Georgia. The journey, taking place in metaphysical rather than a real space, is full of metaphors of the war. The train passes along the Russian-Ukrainian border, allowing the couple to observe some grim images.
