The Peril at Pincer Point

The Peril at Pincer Point

2026 · 83 min · English
United Kingdom

Jim Baitte (Jack Redmayne) is a hapless sound recordist about to lose his job working under tyrannical director P.W. Griffin (Os Leanse). His last chance to save himself: a trip to the remote island of Pincer Point, where he's been sent to record a supposedly impossible, never-before-captured sound. But the island has other plans for him, pulling him into a web of ghostly legends, baffling locals, and an ancient nautical prophecy he absolutely did not sign up for. Shot on a shoestring with a lovingly handcrafted look that recalls Guy Maddin by way of Roger Corman, the film channels vintage British oddity and lo-fi genre cinema into something joyfully its own. Part adventure, part comedy, part ghost story, and billed by its makers as "the defining (and perhaps only) crustaceous comedy of a generation." Winner of the NEON Auteur Award at SXSW 2026. Produced by Gittes-Cross Pictures.
